Sophie is a 25-year-old surfer from the Sunshine Coast, QLD. Sophie studied a dual degree Bachelor in Marketing and Biomedical Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast 2016-2021.
She always loved to play a variety of different sports, but living near the beach surfed everyday with her siblings at Alexandra Headland and has been a member of North Shore Boardriders Club for 15 years.
As a junior Sophie placed 1st at the Australian Junior Surfing Titles(U18) and represented Australia at the ISA World Junior Surfing Games (U18) where she placed 7th.
After ranking 3rd on the Australasian 2020/21 World Surf League(WSL) Qualifying Series, Sophie is now competing on the WSL International Challenger Series, aiming to qualify for 2022 World Circuit Tour.
