Daily Driver

The Score Lord

A rippable Daily Driver, The Score Lord, is a sleek beast of a board that has the perfect blend of Width, Thickness and Rocker designed to maximize your wave count, improve your surfing and still provide the performance potential we are always chasing after.

I have been building different versions of the Score Lord for myself, my friends and my team riders  over the past 3 years, trying to pack volume into our boards without losing sensitivity and performance. I watched them ride tons of waves and used their feedback to dial in the design.  Finally, after constantly having people paddle up to me and ask what I was riding, we decided it’s time to share it with everyone.

Meant to be ridden in all types of waves, anywhere from 2 to 10 feet (yes it is THAT versatile!) and designed for maximum paddle power, stability and glide, the Score Lord allows you to surf up to your potential or improve rapidly!

The outline is clean, wide-point forward (+2”), with a full nose that is just slightly wider than the tail. The back half is sleek, but not overly narrow and ends in a very round pin tail that keeps it smooth and loose. The thickness is pushed forward to keep lots of foam (Volume) under your chest area, keeping the sleek beaked nose free for fast paddle and easy wave catching, while the rails and tail area are thinned out to keep it sensitive and quick.

Sizing for the Score Lord is pretty varied and all relative to your surfing and fitness levels: Better surfers will be able to ride it smaller, more around their own height or choose to cruise on a bit longer version for the fun of it. Intermediate surfers will want to ride it a bit longer than their height or even add an extra 6 or more inches above that to maximize their paddle power, stability and glide. If your paddling conditioning is a bit on the weak side, the Score Lord will help give you all the advantages possible while still allowing quicker progression and fun sessions!

Comes stock as a 5 fin so you can choose the fin set-up that suits your needs best, the Score Lord is all about more waves, more flow, a perfectly tuned blend of paddle power and performance that keeps you scoring, session after session.

NOSE & TAIL ROCKER

The Score Lord's rocker is set up to help you paddle fast and easy, while still allowing for snappy turns and smooth cutbacks.

Lower nose rocker blends back to significant, long, continuous tail rocker. This lets the board glide easily and carry speed on weaker, flatter waves, but still fit into the pocket in curvy sections and bowls. The drawn out tail rocker won’t slow you down, but will let you roll it into a turn easily at any speed.

Score Lord Concave

The Score Lord's concave features gentle vee from nose to tail, but we added double concave through the back ⅔ of the board to keep it lively and allow the board to get up on top of the water easily.

This lets those bigger/wider Score Lord's tip quickly from rail-to-rail, making it easy to pump and change direction without resistance.

VOLUME CALCULATOR

Our volume guide is a great starting point to figure out a best estimated volume for you to base your next board off of. This chart is assuming volume for a basic performance board to be ridden in average waves.

Generally speaking, you should add volume for boards designed for smaller, weaker waves. You should also add volume for a step-up/gun for use in bigger, powerful waves. Added wet weight (wetsuit, booties, etc.) should be calculated into your weight.

Balance the added ease of paddling (more volume) with sensitivity and performance (less volume). Tune to your preference or contact our board experts for questions.
